My favourite animal!
- Hedghogs are very spikey and have over 7000 spikes on their back!
- Each spike lasts about 1 year until they fall out and grow back.
- Hedghogs have existed for 15 million years!
- The ‘hedge’ part of their name comes from when they build their nests hedges and bushes.
- The ‘hog’ part of their name comes from the small grunting/snorting sound they make and sounds like a Warthog which is a type of pig.
